North Bend to Snoqualmie Pass

Weeks Falls

Weeks Falls is a waterfall on the South fork of the Snoqualmie River, located just south of Interstate 90 at exit 38. The falls are at the end of the road that goes past the Olallie State Park ranger headquarters. From the gravel parking lot, there is a paved accessible overlook to see the falls and a small area around the hydro-electric plant.

Weeks Falls has a small hydroelectric plant operated by CHI West which generates about 4.3 Megawatts at it's peak. The power plant is unusual as it operates without a dam. Instead, water is drawn from the river above the falls and run down an underground channel to the generation unit at the bottom of Weeks falls.

From the Ranger Station you can hike the trail, which is the old 1915 Sunset Highway to the falls. If you do not want to walk the 1/4 mile from the Ranger Station, you can follow the 1926 road as it ends at the falls where there is parking. This is a state park and requires a Discover Pass or a $10 day use fee.
