The Raging River Bridge

The Raging River Bridge

The Raging River bridge is a concrete reinforced ach bridge constructed in 1914 for the Sunset Highway. The new highway replaced the old wooden bridge built for the 1889 County Road No. 205 that was used until 1914 and was located just north of the concrete bridge. This bridge was a part of the Sunset Highway until 1956 when the highway was improved for the last time. This is when the current bridge over the Raging River was built. Today the 1914 bridge is still used as a public road for access to the homes in the area.
